There Goes The Neighborhood

In early November, or more accurately from early November to mid-November, a friend of mine from high school stayed with us on and off for about ten days. It's a long story, but he was stationed here as part of his job. And it's an even longer story to explain why part of his job entailed having a Penske moving truck parked in front of our house while he was here. I was just happy to have another crazed Spurs fan to hang out with.

But one morning Emily took Pancho for his morning walk and found that my friend's moving van had been tagged with graffiti.

It is kind of funny that his van got tagged. But it is not so funny that such an elaborate paint job occured in front of our house. Kids/gangstas these days...

For what it's worth, that's not gang graffiti. Just local taggers. You don't need bullet proof windows.

Maybe you should install a deer camera that is motion-sensitive. You could make some money on that by turning in local taggers! Providing a canvas like that van is the perfect bait to lure them in.

Ed: Could it be some Lake-8 gang making it's way to LoFo and tagging our property? Just sayin', maybe the riff raff is actually north of 38th. I've heard tell of folks selling houses to their friends, moving from one block to another. It all sounds pretty shady to me.

Nathan: Not only was the truck a perfect target, but it is a mobile billboard. Those taggers were geniuses. Now their craft has been seen all along the western plains, all the way to SFO, and then back cross country to Atlanta. Target should consider this as a marketing scheme. Facebook what?

Lake-8 graffiti artists tent to do impressionist work in watercolor.
